The Board of Visitors members have a two-part role in the life of The Elon School:

	Serve as ambassadors for the school by helping build positive awareness of The Elon School in the community and surrounding counties.
	Provide feedback to The Elon School about community perceptions and opportunities.

The Board of Visitors was created by a Founding Committee that includes current parents and community members. Fred Grosse, President, Jane Grosse, Vice President and Marshall Qualls, Director of Community Relations serve as staff liaisons. The Founding Committee seeks community representatives from Alamance and surrounding counties to serve on the Board of Visitors. Board of Visitors members serve three year terms that are renewable.

Among other contributions, Board of Visitors members bring guests to The Elon School for a firsthand look at the school; are mindful of opportunities for fund development, admissions, community service and general positive public relations; and also mindful of building a diverse study body reflective of the communities the school serves.
