John Silva came to The Elon School faculty as a history teacher from Concord, New Hampshire, where he taught at the prestigious St. Paul’s School for nineteen years. Mr. Silva had “done it all” in his time at St. Paul’s. He has taught Humanities, American History, Health, and Chemistry. He has coached football, basketball, softball, baseball, and field hockey. He has also held a variety of administrative positions from Athletic Director to Director of Student Activities, and Mr. Silva served on a myriad of Committees during his time at St. Paul’s.

He is known for his captivating teaching style and his ability to help each student realize his or her own potential.
